WHAT THE OFFICE DOES
From eligibility to the deed.
Check eligibility
Does the property really fall within the chosen framework? That is the first question, before any application.
Prepare the EDB file
The promise of sale, endorsed by the notary, goes with your approval application.
Secure the purchase
Title, charges, the project's conditions, payment terms.
Choose your own notary
Developers often suggest their own. You can appoint yours, who looks after your legal security.
Sign from abroad
A power of attorney drafted by the office, signed in your country, then legalised or apostilled. Some private deeds can be signed electronically.
Deeds valid everywhere
For a deed to be used abroad, the notary's signature is authenticated and then apostilled by the Mauritian authorities.
SETTLING IN MAURITIUS
Beyond the purchase.
Living in Mauritius also means organising your family life and assets here: marriage contracts, a will for your Mauritian assets, a company, powers of attorney.
For Mauritians living abroad, the office handles successions, sales and divisions without you always having to travel.
Wills and successionsYour questions, answered.
Can a foreigner buy property in Mauritius?

Will my Mauritian deed be recognised abroad?
To be used in another country, the deed is authenticated and then apostilled by the Mauritian authorities. The office guides you through the steps.
